I had Tim and Doug from Black Diamond replace my panel board and run electricity out to a new gazebo. Tim and Doug were absolutely the best people I have dealt with in a very long time. They were always on time or early, kept us informed through the process and handled all the necessary permits with the village. The time they spent cleaning up after the project was complete was the best I have ever experienced. Tim and Doug are two professionals who really provide excellent customer service.

The problem occurred four hours after a winter Inspection by one of your service men. I don't think I should have been charged for a service call that came right after the unit was inspected. David Kinney

Cost me approximately $450 per hour in labor. PVC and one economy sink drain at less than $20; the disposal provided. Your plumber you sent was a skilled tradesman and gentleman. All debris including old disposal and pvc traps completely removed from my property. Except for the exorbanant price I am very pleased with the skill and workmanship provided. Based on estimate, $925 expected adjustment when work was preformed in two hours. Price, $450.00/hr is out of line.
Great service. Thanks!

Founded as a German enclave within a largely English-speaking region, Schaumburg grew in tandem with the other communities on the fertile plain to the northwest of Chicago. By the 1870s, it was a bustling agricultural trade town with a number of native businesses and plenty of connections to the outside world. Although the region’s agricultural economy took a hit during the lean years of the Great Depression, Schaumburg’s proximity to Chicago ensured that it continued to grow. By the 1960s, it had developed a reputation as a tony bedroom and second-home community for well-to-do Chicagoans. These days, a healthy civic life and strong economic connections to the nearby city make Schaumburg a great place to live and work.
Schaumburg lies squarely within the Golden Corridor region, a subdivision of Chicagoland that contains many of the area’s most recognizable businesses and institutions. The village is served by Interstate 90 as well as state routes like Illinois Highways 72 and 58. Physically, much of Schaumburg’s land has been divided up for commercial or residential development, and the village now features a patchwork of high-density and low-density neighborhoods. Nevertheless, protected areas like Gray Farm Park and Ned Brown Preserve offer glimpses of the land’s pristine state. Given the general affluence of the area, it shouldn’t be surprising that a significant amount of Schaumburg’s land area has been divided up into public and private golf courses like famed Walnut Greens Golf Course.
Population and Demographics
Although Schaumburg is legally incorporated as a village, it’s quite a large village: As of the last Census count, it was home to nearly 75,000 people. Moreover, its convenient location and abundance of economic opportunity virtually guarantees that it will continue to grow for some time to come. Like other communities in the area, Schaumburg is home to many families with school-age children as well as a number of single professionals and retirees. Although it lies less than 30 miles from the Loop, in-town corporate headquarters like Motorola’s and Zurich North America’s entice many residents to work locally.
